Welcome to Caer Bryn

Set in 17 acres Caer Bryn offers a peaceful environment, looking down over Nantmel to the Radnor Forest within the Cambrian Mountains of Powys.

Although only a mile from the main road it offers the peace and tranquillity that the rolling hills with wooded coppices and secret gardens can give. Whether you are taking part in the different activities or want a space on your own to meditate and think, Caer Bryn can provide a wonderful connectivity to nature to enhance your experience.

We hope to impart knowledge that we have gained through our life experiences to help you relax and open your mind so you may get a better perspective, using the countryside and giving you mindfulness tools to assist you going forward.

We are not teachers in the traditional sense and are not here to give you a certificate, this is just a safe place to come together and learn what is really important to you, through your time with us and others on the retreats.

Any material given and help provided will be relevant to your situation and how you feel at the time and is not designed to be transferable to others.

Our team hopes you will enjoy your journey towards growth and wellbeing.

These words from Roshi John Garrie may help you understand our objectives;

Retreat is a much misunderstood and misused word. It is not an occasion for convalescence, or for transcendental or psychic adventure, nor of penance, or indeed, a platform for performance.

It is quite simply a time to let go of defence, offence or pretence. A time of gentle watchfulness from the Sanctuary of “Where-you-are-coming-from”. The stillness at the Eye of the Storm; and the renewal of Ease and Trust in the humility of the moment. A time to bow to the Here and Now.
